Building Faith Through the Word: Hearing, Speaking, and Praying in the Spirit

Image
June 1,2025 Romans 10:17, Galatians 3:2-5 The Power of Hearing the Word Hearing the Word of God is essential for building faith. The Bible says, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17). When we tune our inner ear to the Word of God, our faith grows stronger. Speaking in the Spirit and Building Faith Speaking in the Spirit is another way to build up our faith. As we speak in tongues, we edify ourselves and our faith grows (1 Corinthians 14:4). The Word of God says that speaking the Word of God is speaking faith (Romans 10:8-10). The Importance of the Word of Faith The Word of faith is crucial for building and maintaining our faith. When our faith level is low, we can restore it by speaking in the Spirit and hearing the Word of faith. Practical Questions to Consider - How many books on faith have you read? - Do you listen to messages from faith-filled preachers? - What kind of conversations do you have with others? Do you g...

The Unparalleled Power of the Holy Spirit

Image
May 31,2025 Acts 1:8, Mark 16:17-18 A Divine Force Beyond Comparison The power of the Holy Spirit is boundless and life-giving. It's unparalleled and unmatched by any other force. When God's Word is spoken, this power is unleashed, bringing healing, restoration, and deliverance. In the ministry of Jesus, we saw the manifestation of this power as He healed the sick, raised the dead, and cleansed the lepers. The Believer's Privilege As contemporary believers, we're privileged to tap into the same power that operated through Jesus' life and ministry. The Scriptures promise that signs, wonders, and miracles will follow those who believe, including casting out demons and speaking in new tongues (Mark 16:17-18). This power is available to us through the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to live a life that honors God. The Carrier of Power It's essential to recognize that the Holy Spirit is the carrier of this divine power, not us. Our role is to yield to the Spirit's g...

The Authority of Scripture

Image
May 30,2025 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12 Rooted in Scripture No preacher's accuracy surpasses the Scriptures. A preacher's effectiveness is powered by their accumulation of the Lord's teachings through the Scriptures and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Without a foundation in Scripture and the Holy Spirit's guidance, our words are mere noise, like "a sounding brass and a clanging cymbal" (1 Corinthians 13:1). The Power of God's Word The Scriptures, God's Word, are living and powerful, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). The Holy Spirit is the conveyor of God's Word, knowing exactly what to convey to turn hearts around. Faithfulness to Scripture A preacher who faults the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit has no part in the Kingdom. We must stand strong, holding dear the authentic Word of God, and not chasing after extraneous teachi...

Understanding Our Identity in Christ: From Levitical to Melchizedekian

Image
May 29,2025 Hebrews 7:1-17, Psalm 110:4, 1 John 5:12 The Difference Between Levitical and Melchizedekian As believers, we must understand that our identity in Christ is not rooted in the Levitical priesthood, but rather in the Melchizedekian order. The Levitical priesthood was based on law and ritual, whereas the Melchizedekian order is based on grace and faith. Grace Empowers, Not Excuses Grace does not give us license to be lazy or neglect our responsibilities. Instead, it empowers us to perform and live according to God's will. As the Bible says, "For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17). Our Source and Identity We are not Levites, but rather sons of God, having the Son in us. The Scriptures call us "sons of God" because we have the Son in us, and "he that has the Son has life" (1 John 5:12). Our identity is rooted in Christ, and we are called to represent Him on earth. The Ministry Gifts The minist...

The Grace of Obedience: Fasting, Giving, and Living Under God's Will

Image
May 28,2025 Hebrews 7:1-17, Psalm 110:4, Matthew 6:16-18 Grace and Obedience Under the New Covenant, grace empowers us to live obedient lives, including activities like fasting, giving, and other disciplines that honor God. Tithing in the Old and New Covenants - Abraham's Tithe: Abraham paid tithe to Melchizedek, a priest-king, before the Law (Genesis 14:18-20). This act demonstrated Abraham's respect and gratitude. - Levitical Priesthood: Under the Law, the Levites received tithes from their fellow Israelites (Numbers 18:21-24). This system was established to support the Levitical priesthood. - Jesus, Our High Priest: The priesthood of Jesus is distinct from the Levitical order. Jesus is a priest "after the order of Melchizedek" (Psalm 110:4, Hebrews 5:6), with a priesthood sealed by an oath. Fasting in the Bible Fasting is a spiritual discipline that helps us focus on God, seek His guidance, and demonstrate our dependence on Him. Jesus taught about fasting...

God's Impartiality: Lessons from the Book of Job

Image
May 26,2025 Gentile Wisdom in the Bible The book of Job stands out as a unique example of a biblical book focused on Gentile characters, without direct involvement of Hebrews. Job and his friends, Eliphaz, Zophar, and Bildad, were Gentiles whose quotes and actions are recorded in the Bible. Remember these quotes from Elihu, who said, "But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding" (Job 32:8). Eliphaz also said "I will declare a thing, and it shall be established unto thee"  (Job 22:28). Many of us have used that during prayers. They were scriptures from the mouths of the Gentiles through the Holy Spirit. God's Impartiality The book of Job demonstrates God's impartiality, showing that He values righteousness and wisdom from people of all backgrounds. Other Gentile-related scriptures, like Jonah and Esther, also highlight God's interaction with non-Hebrews. As the Bible says, "God shows no partiality...

Seeing the Word of the Lord: Micah's Prophetic Gift

Image
May 24,2025 Micah 1:1, John 17:3 Micah's Unique Prophetic Experience Micah, a contemporary of Isaiah, prophesied during the reigns of Jotham and Hezekiah. Unlike other prophets who saw visions or heard God's voice, Micah saw the Word of the Lord. This peculiar gift allowed him to read from the scriptures of truth in heaven, gaining insight into God's plans. A Privilege to See God's Word Micah's experience was a great privilege, enabling him to understand God's writings concerning His people. The Lord revealed to Micah His plans to arise from His holy mountain and judge the earth. Knowing Christ: Eternal Life Micah's encounter with the Word of God, Jesus Christ, is a powerful reminder that eternal life is about knowing God and Jesus Christ. Have you seen Christ Jesus? If so, He is all you need for eternity. Reflection What are you seeing in your spiritual journey? Have you encountered Christ Jesus? Share your thoughts, comments, or contributions wit...

Weeding Out Spiritual Distractions: Focusing on Christ

Image
May 16,2025 Matthew 13:24-30, Mark 4:15, Luke 8:12 Just as a farmer's crops require weeding and pruning to mature, our spiritual growth demands constant attention to remove distractions. When the Word of God is planted in our hearts, the enemy often sows weeds (tares) that can choke out the Word and distract us from focusing on Jesus Christ. Identifying and Removing Spiritual Weeds These weeds can manifest as: - Negative thoughts and dreams - Gossip and toxic relationships - Distracting behaviors and habits Maintaining Spiritual Health To overcome these distractions, we must: - Pray and study the Word of God to build our faith - Fellowship with serious believers for support and accountability - Listen to sermons and teachings for spiritual growth A Decree of Freedom I decree that every weed sown into your heart to cause trouble in your life, home, workplace, and ministry is removed in Jesus' name. May you experience spiritual clarity and focus on Christ. Share Y...

Putting on the Armor of God: A Guide to Spiritual Warfare

Image
May 15,2025 Ephesians 6:14-18, John 14:6 As believers, we are provided with a complete armor to stand against the enemy's attacks. Let's examine each piece: 1. Truth: Stand firm with truth around your loins, just as our Lord is the Truth (John 14:6). Let no lie recide in you. 2. Righteousness: Wear the breastplate of righteousness, made possible by Jesus' blood, which makes us right before God. 3. Preparation of the Gospel: Have your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, enabling you to create a relationship with the Lord. Preparation means you are ready and bold because the Lord can point someone to you to discuss Him with. 4. Faith: Take the shield of faith, which comes from hearing and hearing the Word of God. Develop your faith by joining an assembly, listening to sermons, reading your Bible, and asking questions from senior believers. 5. Helmet of Salvation: Ensure you have an assurance of salvation. If you are not born again, invit...

Son's Extended Life under the Father (S.E.L.F.)

Image
May 12, 2025 Romans 5:9, Hebrews 10:12, 1 John 3:1-2 The world lacked the life of God until the Son of God appeared. His way of life is beyond human comprehension due to the corruption caused by the fall. We often misunderstand righteousness, thinking that past good deeds can justify future wrongdoing. However, the moment iniquity sets in, one departs from the camp of righteousness. Justification and Salvation The Son's life is a gift of justification and salvation. Through His blood, we are justified, and through His life, we are saved from wrath (Romans 5:9). He sits at the right hand of God, and His life becomes our life. His resurrected life saves us, and His position in the heavenly places becomes our position. The Function of His Present State Have you asked yourself what the function of His present state is in your life and in the world?  The  S -Son's  E - Extended  L - Life under the F -  Father (S.E.L.F.) signifies that we are the extended ...

Victory in Christ: Beyond Human Strength

Image
May 8,2025 1 Corinthians 1:25: "For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength." - Zechariah 4:6: "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty." - Philippians 4:13: "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." As believers in Christ Jesus, our strength doesn't come from human power or might. Instead, we find our victory in Christ, who is the head of all principalities and powers. We are complete in Him, and His wisdom, though foolishness to the world, is beyond human understanding. Not of This World Though we live in the world, we are not of it. We are enveloped with all that is in Christ, and His life flows through us. As believers, we are superior to the inhabitants of the earth because we move about with the same life of the Creator. Every knee must bow before us, not because of our own strength, but because of the strength of our Lor...

A New Heart and a New Spirit: Requirements for the New Covenant

Image
May 7,2025 Ezekiel 36:26: "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." - Psalm 51:10: "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." As born-again children of God, we often pray for a cleansing of our hearts, but the truth is, we need a fundamental transformation. The old heart, symbolized by a heart of stone, is stiff and unresponsive. However, God has prepared a heart of flesh for believers, one that can receive from Him and follow His commands. The new covenant requires a new heart and a new spirit. Our old heart doesn't qualify for this new covenant, and no amount of amendment can make it suitable. Instead, we need a complete transformation, a replacement of the old with the new. A Heart of Flesh A heart of flesh is receptive, responsive, and alive. It's the kind of heart that allows us to walk before God, obeying His co...

The Supremacy of God's Word: A Heavenly Pattern for EarthMay 6,2025

May 6,2025 Psalm 119:89: "Forever, O Lord, your word is settled in heaven." - Hebrews 1:3: "Upholding all things by the word of His power." - Habakkuk 2:14: "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." In heaven, God's Word is settled and supreme, governing all things with precision and power. The heavenly realm operates in perfect harmony with God's Word, demonstrating its authority and control. God's Word prevails in heaven, and He honors His Word above His name. A Heavenly Pattern for Earth However, on earth, it's challenging to comprehend and follow God's Word due to the mixture of good and evil. The earth's demography is often alien to God's ways, which demand obedience to His Word. The invasion of God's kingdom on earth, through Jesus Christ, marked a turning point. As the manifest Word, Jesus brought rebels to their knees, and they trembled in His presen...

The Verdict against the Devil; Understanding God's Word

Image
The Verdict Against the Devil: Understanding God's Word April 24,2025 Genesis 3:15 - "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed." - Acts 2:21 - "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Ephesians 5:11 - "Have nothing to do with the unfruitful works of darkness." Enmity Between the Woman and the Serpent In Genesis 3:15, God says, "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed." This verdict establishes a clear divide between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. Understanding God's Word We often read the Bible without grasping its deeper meaning. God's words are not mere statements but declarations of intent. If He says He will put enmity, then it is so. No Agreement with the Devil Any form of friendship or agreement between the woman (and her seed) and the devil is an aberration. It is disobedience to have any relationship with the serpen...

Heaven on Earth

"From Dust to Glory: Our Eternal Transformation"April 2,2025"Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it." (Ecclesiastes 12:7)*"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."* (Genesis 2:7)As humans, we originated from the dust of the earth, and our physical bodies are sustained by the food we eat, which also comes from the earth. However, our earthly bodies are temporary and will eventually return to the earth. But what about our spirits? Where do they come from, and where will they go?*"The spirit returns to God who gave it." (Ecclesiastes 12:7)Our spirits are eternal and will return to God, but what will we be like when we see Him?*"Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is." (1 John 3:2)Apostle Paul wrote:"There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another." (1 Corinthians 15:40)He also said that we will be changed, transformed into our eternal, celestial bodies."We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye..." (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)When Jesus returns, we will be raptured, transformed, and taken to our eternal home, a new heaven and a new earth."Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."(Revelation 21:1)Are you preparing for this eternal transformation?Let us pray that we shall be rapturable in Jesus' name.Share your thoughts, comments, or contributions with us at:apostolicchargeministry@gmail.com

The Power of the Precious Blood

Image
The Power of the Precious Blood April 8,2025 "The blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." - 1 John 1:7 "Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness." - Hebrews 9:22 The Blood of Jesus has accomplished a remarkable work, drawing us to God and enabling us to approach Him through the same. Our sins are forgiven not because God forgets, but because He sees the precious Blood. As God said, "When I see the blood, I will pass over." In matters of atonement, no human can provide the necessary divine materials. We must trust in God's provision and plan. Many claim the blessing of Abraham, but are we willing to follow his example of faith and obedience? Abraham's righteousness was accounted for because he believed God. To be consistent with God, we must trust in the atonement process completed through Lord Jesus Christ. The shedding of the Blood is a spiritual matter that addresses the issue of sin. May God open our eyes to the signifi...

The Power of God's Word in Overcoming Temptation

Image
The Power of God's Word in Overcoming Temptation May 5,2025 Genesis 39:9: "How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?" - Psalm 119:9-11: "How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word... I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." - Romans 10:8-9: "But what does it say? 'The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,' that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Humans are not naturally equipped to overcome temptation on their own. The fall of man has weakened our ability to resist the enemy's influence. However, the story of Joseph shows us that absorbing the truth of God's Word can empower us to resist temptation. When faced with temptation, Joseph declared, "How then could I do such...

Mercy and Grace: The Foundation of Our Journey with God

Image
May 4,2025 Romans 9:16: "So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy." - Hebrews 4:16: "Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." - Isaiah 40:31: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." It's not about our willpower or efforts, but about God's mercy that sets us on the right path. When we start our journey with God based on our own will, we risk failure. However, when God's mercy and grace intervene, we find the strength to run in His will. God's Mercy in Action The story of Noah is a powerful example of God's mercy and grace. In a corrupt generation, God chose Noah and enabled him to walk with Him. This demonstrates that mercy is an essential aspect of God's character...

Understanding the Call: Disciple or Apostle?

Image
Understanding the Call: Disciple or Apostle? May 2,2024 Matthew 4:19: "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people." - Acts 13:2-3: "While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, 'Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.' So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off." - Ephesians 4:11-12: "So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." In the kingdom of God, there are two distinct calls: to become a disciple and to be sent. The call to discipleship is a call to follow Jesus, to learn from Him, and to grow in faith. On the other hand, the call to apostleship or missionary work is a call to be sent out into the world to spread the gospel and make disciples of all nations. ...

Following the Pattern of Christ: A Call to Missions

Image
May 1,2025 Matthew 15:24: "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel" - Acts 1:8: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" - John 12:32: "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself Matthew 15:24, Acts 1:8, John 12:32 Jesus was sent to a tribe and nation of Israel, working among them from the beginning to the end of His earthly life. As a missionary to a tribe, He demonstrated the love of God to His people. When the Greeks came, He said, "A corn of wheat must fall to the ground, and if it dies, it produces much fruit" (John 12:24). This pattern of ministry is evident in His life and teachings. The Pattern of Christ The pattern of Christ is clear: from one tribe to similar nearby tribes, to different tribes, and ultimately to unknown tribes at the end of the world (...
