From Accusation to Redemption: Understanding Our Position in Christ

Image
July 1,2025 Read Job 1:6-12, Hebrews 2:14-15, Ephesians 4:8-11 The Old Testament Scenario In the book of Job, we see Satan presenting himself before the Lord, accusing humanity. This scenario depicts the devil's access to God's presence, where he voices his accusations against mankind. The Redemption Story However, with the coming of Jesus Christ, the Redeemer of mankind, the narrative changed. Jesus lived on earth, confronted the devil, and ultimately triumphed over him through the cross. The cross was not just a means of execution but a verdict that rendered the devil's power useless. The Victory of Christ Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus took the key of death and hell, rendering it powerless. He ascended into heaven, leading captivity captive, and gave gifts to men. These gifts include apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, and evangelists to build up the body of Christ. The New Reality Now, Jesus sits at the right hand of God, where there is ...

Embracing Sonship in Christ

Image
June 30,2025 Hebrews 2:10, John 1:12 The Lord's desire is to have many sons who come to glory. Yet, many believers live in penury, begging God daily for forgiveness. This cycle of guilt and shame is unnecessary for those who understand their identity in Christ. As sons, we have received power to become children of God, no longer slaves but heirs. Our Father guides us in love, not condemnation. He is not concerned about our minor struggles but wants to teach us how to live in love and dominion. The daily struggle with sin and fear reveals a lack of understanding of our sonship. Many prayers reflect defeat and glorification of the devil. Yet, the Father wants us to enjoy relationship and communion with Him, manifest His glory, and become rulers in the kingdom. Fear shouldn't dictate our lives. Prophecies of doom and gloom from others shouldn't control our destiny. We have the power inside us to navigate life's challenges. The scripture says cowards won't inherit...

The Divide of the Cross: Embracing the New Race in Christ

Image
June 29,2025 The cross of Jesus Christ marked a significant divide, bringing an end to the old race in Adam and birthing a new race in Christ Jesus. This distinction is crucial, as it determines how we relate to God. The Old Race In the old race, only a select few, like Moses, had direct access to God's Spirit. The people relied on these chosen individuals for guidance and revelation. This era was characterized by a limited outpouring of the Spirit. The New Race In contrast, the new race in Christ is marked by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all believers. We now have direct access to God's voice and revelation. The role of prophets in the New Testament is not to be the sole recipients of God's voice but to confirm what the Holy Spirit has already revealed to believers. A Call to Transition Many Christians still operate in the old covenant mindset, unaware of the transition that occurred at Calvary. The Lord desires for us to know Him intimately, and this knowledge emp...

Overcoming Challenges with a Sound Mind

Image
June 28,2025 3 John 1:2, Genesis 41:1-40 When faced with adversity, it's natural to feel overwhelmed and question God's involvement. However, situations are meant to be overcome, and the reason we're facing challenges is because we have the capacity to rise above them. A sound mind, as prayed for by the apostle, enables us to discern the source of our trials and learn valuable lessons. The story of Joseph exemplifies this principle. Despite being in prison, Joseph maintained a strong connection with God, utilizing his gifts to interpret dreams and ultimately rising to prominence. His sound mind and spirit allowed him to stay focused and trust God's plan. In the midst of challenges, ask yourself: Can you still utilize your gifts to help others, or have you put them aside? Your gift is meant to bless others, and by focusing on serving others, you will find strength to overcome your own problems. Trust God and don't let challenges overwhelm you. May you be blesse...

Declaration of God's Glory: A Call to Acknowledgement

Image
June 27,2025 Psalm 19:1, Isaiah 60:1 Heaven's Declaration Heaven declares the glory of the Lord, and the firmament shows His handiwork. This glory is not limited to heaven alone but is meant to be experienced on earth as well. The Glory of the Lord The scripture reveals that the glory of the Lord has risen upon us, and it is this glory that dispels darkness. However, many people and lands experience barrenness and negativity due to a lack of knowledge of the Lord. A Call to Acknowledgment For our country to experience the glory of the Lord, we must acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ. When we do, we can expect to see a transformation. The Power of Glory The devil's activities are terminated when the glory of the Lord appears. Darkness cannot comprehend the glory, and shame, barrenness, and poverty are erased in the light of God's glory. A Decree of Hope May you experience the glory of the Lord from today, and may shame, barrenness, and poverty be erased fro...

Trusting God's Provision: A Journey of Faith

Image
June 25,2025 Mark 11:24, 1 Kings 17:4-6 The key to unlocking God's provision lies in faith, which requires total trust in the Lord. When we pray, we must believe that we have received what we asked for, and it shall be ours. However, many people compromise their faith by relying on human calculations and expectations. God's Approach vs. Human Approach Unlike human relationships, God's provision doesn't depend on our connections or expectations. The story of Elijah and the raven illustrates this point. The raven was God's instrument, unknown to Elijah, and its name was not important. What mattered was that God was the supplier. The name of the raven is the Lord's. Walking by Faith Faith means recognizing God as the ultimate provider, regardless of the means He uses. When we trust in God alone, we acknowledge His sovereignty and provision. As the Bible says, "Woe to the man who puts his trust in man" (Jeremiah 17:5). Instead, let's put our tru...

Owning the Day: A Divine Mandate

Image
June 21,2025 Psalm 118:24, Matthew 15:13 A Day Made by the Lord Today, we celebrate the gift of a new day, made by the Lord Himself. As the scripture says, "This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." Note that the maker of this day is the Lord, and He created it for us, not for the devil. Authority Over the Day As the rightful owners of the day, we must remember that the devil has no authority to dictate our experiences. Whatever the Father has not planted in our lives shall be rooted out. If the devil has been threatening you through dreams or thoughts, stand firm in the knowledge that the Lord made this day for you to rejoice and be glad. Possessing Your Possessions Push the devil out of the equation of today, and become positive to possess your possessions. Remember, the joy and gladness of today are a function of your ability to assert your authority as a child of God. Have a Blessed Day May you walk in the joy and gladness of the Lord today, k...

Kingdom Authority: Standing Against Darkness

Image
June 20,2025 Luke 11:20, Ephesians 1:22-23, Colossians 1:18 As children of light, we must understand that the Kingdom of God is not just a future reality, but a present truth that operates on earth. When we surrender our lives to Jesus, we become part of this kingdom, and its authority is manifested through us. The devil may have his own kingdom, but it's unauthorized, and Jesus is the rightful King of the Kingdom of God. Standing Against Darkness As part of Christ's body, we're called to act on earth, standing vehemently against the works of darkness. Casting out demons is a sign of the Kingdom's presence, and as sons and daughters of light, we must be bold in our stance against evil. A Decree of Freedom I decree that every sign or presence of any demonic personality in and around you leave now in Jesus' name. May the authority of the Kingdom of God be manifest in your life, and may you walk in the power and freedom that comes with being a child of God. Share Your ...

A Time to Be Born Again

Image
June 19,2025 Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, Titus 2:11, John 3:3-7 The Significance of Time Time is a precious gift from God, and it plays a crucial role in our lives. There's a time to be born physically, and there's a time to be born again spiritually. This spiritual birth is what makes Christians unique, and it's a result of realizing the truth of God's Word. The Two Births The Bible speaks of two types of birth: physical and spiritual. While physical birth is a natural process, spiritual birth is a supernatural one. It's a time when we acknowledge our weaknesses and receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. A Time for Change and Transformation God allows time for changes and transformation. We are in this time to experience spiritual growth and development. The Bible says there's a time for everything, and one of the most important times is the time to be born of God. Do not misuse your time. To be born of God can only be done in time and not outside time(eternity) ...

Prioritizing the Lord: A Matter of Life and Death

Image
June 17,2025 Matthew 6:33, Daniel 6:10 A Heartfelt Appreciation We are grateful for all who have been following this daily devotion. May the Lord strengthen and be with you all in Jesus' name. The First Place What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your life? What dwells in your heart most? Is the Lord your top priority, or do your desires and challenges take center stage? Misplaced priorities can hinder your journey with God. The Importance of Putting God First The Bible teaches us to seek God's kingdom and righteousness first, and everything else will follow (Matthew 6:33). Daniel's commitment to prayer, despite the risks, is a powerful example (Daniel 6:10). What does your relationship with God look like? Do you prioritize communion with Him? Reflection and Action - How do you seek God's kingdom? - What's your approach to communion with Him? - What scriptures guide your life? - What occupy your morning hours? (Do you pray and study the ...

Discernment: Testing the Spirits

Image
June 16,2025 1 John 4:1, Revelation 2:2 The Responsibility of Discernment The apostle warns us not to believe every spirit, as many false prophets have emerged. A prophet's role is to speak on behalf of God, but false prophets are powered by alternative spirits. When we listen to or follow someone, we're invariably aligning ourselves with the spirit that empowers them. The Consequences of Blind Followership As we associate with someone, we become partakers of their nature and may begin to behave like them, receiving from the same sources. The scripture provides a way out: testing the spirits to determine if they're from God. This responsibility falls on each believer to discern the spirits they encounter. A Lesson from the Church of Ephesus The church of Ephesus demonstrated discernment, identifying false apostles and rejecting them. Jesus commended them for their vigilance. Believers must take responsibility for knowing who they're following and ens...

Divine Provision: Trusting in God's Riches

Image
June 15,2025 Philippians 4:19, Matthew 6:11, Matthew 6:25-26 God's Responsibility, Not Ours The Lord's Prayer includes a request for daily bread, emphasizing God's role in providing for our needs. Jesus teaches us to trust in God's provision, just like the birds of the air, and not to worry about tomorrow. Beyond Earthly Sources While relatives (uncles, aunties) and earthly authorities (bosses) can be instruments of blessing, our ultimate trust should be in God's provision. He can use various means to supply our needs, including unexpected sources. God's Creative Provision The story of Peter and the fish (Matthew 17:24-27) illustrates God's creative and supernatural provision. May we trust in His ability to provide for us in ways we least expect. The Power of Prayer: Lessons from Gethsemane

Image
June 14,2025 Luke 22:39-46, Matthew 26:36-44 A Place of Destiny Gethsemane was a pivotal moment in Jesus' life, where He poured out His heart in prayer, facing the weight of humanity's destiny. His example teaches us the importance of prayer in times of challenge and decision-making. Prayer: A Key to Overcoming Jesus, as the Son of God, demonstrated the value of prayer in preparing for trials. He prayed intensely, sweat like drops of blood, to gain strength and clarity. This teaches us that prayer is essential for spiritual fortitude and discernment. The Problem of Inactiveness The issue believers face is not the devil's activity but rather our own inactiveness. When we pray and engage with the Holy Spirit, we can overcome the enemy's schemes. Daily communion with God, not just a timed prayer, is essential for a victorious life. A Call to Prayerful Living Let's prioritize prayer, seeking God's guidance and strength. May we not waste our time or opportu...

The Devil's Tactics Exposed: Lessons from Job

Image
June 13,2025 Job 1:13-20, John 10:10 Understanding the Enemy's Strategies The story of Job reveals the devil's tactics and strategies, showcasing his role as an accuser, thief, and destroyer. Through Job's experiences, we see the devil's methods, including: 1. Theft and violence: The Sabeans' attack on Job's oxen and servants (Job 1:14-15) 2. Fire from heaven: The fire that consumed Job's sheep and servants (Job 1:16) 3. Deception and destruction: The great wind that destroyed Job's sons and daughters (Job 1:18-19) Counterfeit Miracles and Deception The devil can mimic God's power, sending fire from heaven or causing destruction through natural disasters. It's essential to discern the source of events and not attribute everything to God's direct action. Prayer for Discernment and Protection May God grant us discernment to recognize the devil's tactics and protect us from his deceptions. May we be able to distinguish between God's true...

The Two Lost Sons: A Reflection on Priorities and Heart Condition

Image
June 12,2025 Luke 15:11-32 Beyond the Prodigal: The Elder Brother's Story The parable of the prodigal son is often seen as a story about one son's journey from rebellion to redemption. However, it's also a story about two lost sons: one lost by distance and the other lost in activities within the Father's jurisdiction. The elder son, despite being physically close to the Father, was spiritually distant, prioritizing his own works over understanding the Father's heart. Lost in Busyness, Missing the Father's Heart The elder son's story serves as a cautionary tale about getting caught up in activities while neglecting the Father's desires. Like Martha, he was busy, but his heart wasn't in tune with the Father's. Are we, like the elder son, prioritizing our own agendas and expecting God's blessing without truly knowing His heart? A Call to Realign Our Priorities Let's pray for the eyes to see and the heart to understand the Father...

The Mercy of Salvation: Nebuchadnezzar's Story

Image
June 11,2025 Daniel 1-4 The Unexpected Salvation of Nebuchadnezzar The story of Nebuchadnezzar, a powerful and prideful king, is a remarkable example of God's mercy and salvation. Despite his arrogance and rebellion against God, Nebuchadnezzar was humbled and restored by God. From Pride to Humility Nebuchadnezzar's pride and arrogance led to his downfall, and he was forced to live like an animal for seven years (Daniel 4:25-33). However, this experience ultimately led to his humility and recognition of God's sovereignty. A Merciful King Unlike Pharaoh, who refused to acknowledge God and perished, Nebuchadnezzar received mercy and salvation. His story shows that God's mercy can extend to even the most unlikely individuals. The Lasting Impact of Nebuchadnezzar's Experience After his restoration, Nebuchadnezzar praised and honored the King of heaven, acknowledging God's power and judgment (Daniel 4:37). Read his last words Daniel 4:36-37  At the same time...

Living Under Grace: A Higher Standard of Love

Image
June 9,2025 Matthew 5:39-43 Understanding the Teaching Jesus' teachings in Matthew 5:39-43 challenge us to live a life of non-resistance and generosity, even in the face of adversity. He instructs us not to resist evil, but rather to turn the other cheek, give more than what's asked, and go the extra mile. Grace vs. Law Under the law, the principle was "an eye for an eye," but Jesus introduces a new standard of love and forgiveness. As followers of Christ, we're called to live under grace, not law. This means we forgive, give, and show kindness, even when it's difficult. Interacting with the World Jesus knew we'd interact with people who might try to test us or take advantage of us. He teaches us to respond with kindness, generosity, and humility, reflecting the character of our Heavenly Father. A Call to Live Differently When someone asks for our cloak, we can give them our coat as well, not because we have plenty, but to glorify God. When slapped, we can...

The Significance of Jericho: A City of Righteousness and DarknessJune 7,2025

Image
Joshua 6:1-27, Mark 10:46-52, Luke 19:1-10, Isaiah 60:1-3 A City with a Complex History Jericho, an ancient city, has a complex history. The city's walls were famously brought down by the Israelites under Joshua's leadership, but later rebuilt by a man who paid a terrible price, losing his first and last-born sons in the process. Despite its rich history, Jericho seemed to be a city that struggled with submitting to God's lordship. Jesus' Ministry Around Jericho When Jesus visited Jericho, the Bible records that he performed miracles and shared the message of salvation with people along the way, including the healing of blind men and the salvation of Zacchaeus. However, it's notable that no miracles were recorded as happening inside the city itself. Heaven's Agenda for Jericho It seems that heaven's agenda for Jericho was to bring righteousness to the city, but the inhabitants resisted. The city's history and spiritual significance serve as a remi...

The Sufficiency of God's Grace in Weaknesd

Image
June 6,2025 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 Understanding God's Strength in Weakness The Bible tells us that God's strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). This means that when we are weak, God's power is more evident in our lives. The Apostle Paul learned this lesson through his experiences and shared it with us. The Story of a Lesson Learned I remember a time when I was struggling with a difficult situation and thought that men of God, especially those at the top, didn't have problems like I did. But God showed me a different perspective through a dream. In the dream, I saw a magazine with a big caption that a respected overseer was flown abroad for surgery. I was shocked and began to pray for him, asking God to intervene and cancel any negative circumstances that might be affecting him. I prayed in tongues in the dream until I woke up, and then continued to pray for him in the spirit. The Reality of Challenges Later that day, during a minister's c...

The Power of Teamwork Led by the Holy Spirit

Image
June 5,2025 Numbers 13:1-33, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 Working Together in Harmony God's plan for His children involves working and walking together as a team, guided by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit leads each member individually, and collectively, their ideas and thoughts harmonize to form a unified vision. The Importance of Personal Relationship with God The story of the 12 spies sent to explore the Promised Land serves as a reminder of the importance of having a personal relationship with God. The ten spies who returned with negative reports lacked the Spirit of God and did not have a close relationship with Him,(no relationship with Moses). In contrast, Joshua and Caleb, who brought back a positive report, had a deep connection with God and Moses. The Source of Our Words and Actions What we say and do reflects our relationship with God. If we are not filled with the Spirit, we can not give what we do not have. It is essential to examine what is recycling in our minds daily a...
