He ascended into heaven, leading captivity captive, and gave gifts to men. These gifts include apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, and evangelists to build up the body of Christ. This cycle of guilt and shame is unnecessary for those who understand their identity in Christ. As sons, we have received power to become children of God, no longer slaves but heirs. Our Father guides us in love, not condemnation. He is not concerned about our minor struggles but wants to teach us how to live in love and dominion. The daily struggle with sin and fear reveals a lack of understanding of our sonship. Many prayers reflect defeat and glorification of the devil. Yet, the Father wants us to enjoy relationship and communion with Him, manifest His glory, and become rulers in the kingdom. Fear shouldn't dictate our lives. The New Race In contrast, the new race in Christ is marked by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all believers. We now have direct access to God's voice and revelation. Despite being in prison, Joseph maintained a strong connection with God, utilizing his gifts to interpret dreams and ultimately rising to prominence.
