The Timeless Resurrected Life

Image
July 29,2025 "And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light." - Genesis 1:3 Genesis 1:3 - "And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light." - Ephesians 2:6 - "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus." - Hebrews 9:12, 24-26 - "He entered the Most Holy Place once for all... Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many." - Hebrews 13:8 - "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." The resurrected life is a constant,  unchanging reality. When we think of heaven, do we imagine it operating on a timeline like earth? The truth is, heaven doesn't know yesterday, today, or tomorrow - it's all "today" (Hebrews 13:8). Human reasoning can't fully grasp this concept. -A Different Dimension- On earth, our lives unfold in chapters, but in heaven, everything is spread out before us like a vast, unending...

Letting Go of the Old: Embracing the Resurrected Life

Image
July 28,2025 -Romans 8:14 ,Galatians 2:20 ,2 Corinthians 5:17  Have you ever attended a burial ceremony and noticed the stark contrast between the lifeless body and the vibrant activities surrounding it? The deceased's spirit has returned to God, leaving behind a lifeless shell. This reality check prompts us to reflect on our own lives and the true nature of our existence. As believers, we have acknowledged that we have died with Christ and our old lives have been crucified with Him (Galatians 2:20). This profound truth should shape our understanding of ourselves and our relationship with the world. Yet, do we still cling to the old ways? Do we still allow our old life's characteristics – anger, malice, immorality, and corruption – to dictate our actions? The Resurrected Life: A New Reality In the resurrected life, we are led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14). This means that we are no longer controlled by our fleshly desires and impulses. Our old life's enjoyments and hab...

Rekindling the First Love: A Call to Intimacy with God

Image
July 22,2025 Revelation 2:4-5 The Lost First Love The Lord's message to the church of Ephesus was clear: they had lost their first love. But what was this first love? It was a genuine and divine love for God, characterized by a deep intimacy and connection. The Ephesians had drifted away from this love, and the Lord called them to return to their first love. Characteristics of Love When two people are in love, they prioritize each other, finding time to communicate and discuss their deepest thoughts and desires. They share secrets and express love daily, without growing tired of each other. The Ephesians had lost this kind of intimacy with the Lord, neglecting their secret place with Him and failing to align with His heart. A Call to Return The Lord's call to the Ephesians is also a call to us today. Have you lost your first love? Have you drifted away from the intimacy and connection with God that you once had? It's time to retrace your steps, to ...

The Prayerlessness of the Church: A Reflection on James' Martyrdom

Image
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." - Ephesians 6:12 James, a disciple and apostle of Jesus Christ, serves as a poignant example of the early church's inaction and lack of prayer in the face of persecution. When Herod saw that it pleased the Jews, he had James, one of Jesus' inner circle (alongside Peter and John), put to death by the sword (Acts 12:1-2). Unlike Peter, who was later miraculously delivered from prison after fervent prayer by the church (Acts 12:5-19), James' fate was sealed, seemingly without any recorded prayer or intervention from the church. This stark contrast raises questions about what revelations James might have shared with the body of Christ had he not been cut short. As one of the three closest to Jesus, James witnessed pivotal moments, including the...

From Glory to Glory: Embracing Transformation in Christ

Image
June 5,2025 2 Corinthians 3:18, Luke 4:18-19, John 8:32 Jesus Christ's mission is to transform lives, not to perpetuate poverty, sickness, or bondage. As He said, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor" (Luke 4:18). His aim is to make the cursed blessed, the poor rich, the sick whole, and the lost found. Growing in Christ A believer's life should be marked by growth and transformation. As we behold Christ, we are transformed from one glory to another (2 Corinthians 3:18). We are not meant to remain in the same state after meeting Jesus. The truth of His word sets us free (John 8:32), and we should be empowered to make decisions and face challenges with confidence. Signs of Growth A growing believer: - Faces challenges with faith and courage - Makes decisions guided by their spirit and the Word of God - Seeks guidance from pastors and spiritual leaders, but also knows how to discern and apply biblical principles -...

Eternal Life in Christ

Image
July 3,2025 John 8:51, 1 John 5:11-12, Revelation 1:18 One of the errors among believers is the misconception that eternal life begins after death. However, the scriptures clearly state that eternal life starts the moment we give our lives to Jesus Christ. As it is written, "Whoever has the Son has eternal life" (1 John 5:12). So, where is this error coming from, and who is teaching believers these falsehoods? Living in the Light of Eternal Life Many believers remain stuck in a cycle of daily seeking forgiveness, focusing on their mistakes, and fearing punishment. Yet, Jesus said, "Whoever keeps my word will never see death" (John 8:51). With Christ's resurrection, the sting of death was removed, and believers now have the promise of eternal life. The Reality of Eternal Life Your eternal life is rooted in Christ living in you, and this life is yours to experience here on earth. While your physical body may age and wear out, you will be transformed to be like Chr...
