Love in Action — Seeing Every Person as Your Neighbor

Image
December 30,2025 Love is continually made visible through sharing. We often hear about self-love, and indeed, the very fact that you are alive today is evidence that life itself is precious and worth valuing. Yet love reaches its fullness when it is shared. Love that is not shared is incomplete; love expressed becomes a living testimony. Scripture teaches us that love is not limited by distance, culture, or familiarity. Jesus illustrated this truth in the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30–37). A man was robbed, wounded, and left helpless on the road. Those whom society expected to help passed by, but a Samaritan—considered a stranger and outsider—stopped, showed compassion, and cared for him. Jesus concluded by saying that this Samaritan proved himself to be the true neighbor. This teaches us that neighborliness is not confined to those who live close to us or belong to our circle. The person you sit beside on a bus, the colleague at your workplace, and even the...

The Church as God’s Revealed Mystery: Strengthened in Love to Display His Manifold Wisdom

Image
December 29,2025 For the past two days, we have been considering the subject of mysteries revealed to the Church through the Holy Spirit—divine truths that define the present state and calling of the Church of Christ on earth. Scripture teaches that the Church is one family with two locations: heaven and earth. As Paul writes, “from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named” (Ephesians 3:15). Within this one family on earth, both the Gentile world and the Jewish world are brought together under one head—Christ. In Him, they form one body with a singular and glorious assignment: to make known the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers in heavenly places (Ephesians 3:10). These heavenly beings long to behold the wisdom and brilliance of their Maker as revealed through humanity redeemed in Christ. The Apostle Paul, however, recognized a challenge facing this earthly expression of the Church. He acknowledged that tribulations and pressures could cause believer...

The Church as God’s Revelation to Principalities and Powers

Image
December 28,2025 Ephesians 3:5–11,Colossians 1:26–27,Hebrews 1:3, 13–14,1 Peter 1:10–12,Colossians 1:15,Romans 8:19 Ephesians 4:13 Yesterday, we examined some of the revealed mysteries that the Father, by His grace, has entrusted to the Church. The first mystery is the expansion of the Kingdom of God beyond ethnic boundaries. Salvation and inheritance are no longer limited to the Jews alone, but have now been extended to the Gentile world. By this divine purpose, the Gentiles have become fellow heirs with the Jews in Christ. As Scripture declares, “There is neither Jew nor Greek… for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28). We also considered another profound mystery: that the manifold wisdom and the very person of God are to be made known by the Church to principalities and powers in heavenly places (Ephesians 3:10). These principalities and powers are to learn who God truly is by observing His image expressed through redeemed humanity. In other words, God i...

Speaking From the Throne: When the Word First Confront the Preacher

Image
December 26,2025 The Word of God is like a double-edged sword—powerful, living, and piercing on both sides. When I speak the Word of God, it is not meant only for the congregation or the audience; it is meant for me as well. If the sword of the Word does not first cut my own heart, convict me, and cause me to examine myself, then no matter how eloquent or beautiful the sermon may sound, I have not truly spoken for God. Speaking on behalf of God is not an opportunity to attack others, vent frustration, or respond indirectly to personal offenses within the congregation. The pulpit is not a place for emotional retaliation or human agendas. It is a sacred space meant to reveal the mind and heart of God. Every message must come from the throne of God. Personal opinions, trends, or recycled messages have no place there. I have observed many sermons that are merely echoes of what is popular, what is trending, or what another preacher has said. But if one cannot speak from God’...

The Christian Life Across Culture; One Faith, Balanced by Scripture

Image
December 14,2025 The experience of earthly life—and of Christian living—differs from region to region and from territory to territory. The Anglo-Saxons, Asians, Chinese, Japanese, Jews, Africans, and Indians can each tell the story of their Christian journey in distinct ways. Culture, history, and spiritual atmosphere shape how people perceive life and respond to faith. Yet, above all these differences, the Scriptures remain the divine balance that unites us in one truth (Ephesians 4:4–6). In every territory, spiritual climates and opposing powers influence how believers respond to life’s challenges. Scripture reminds us that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). Understanding these realities enables Christians to pray with discernment and to minister effectively within different cultural and spiritual contexts. For example, min...

Standing Firm Amid Discouragement: Choosing Faith Over FearDecember 18,2025

Image
One of the greatest mistakes a person can make in life is to abandon their vision because of those who strongly discourage them. Often, the natural response to persistent discouragement is to withdraw—to leave those voices behind in search of comfort elsewhere. While it is sometimes healthy to find solace among a few who truly encourage you, wisdom demands that you do not surrender your ground simply because many oppose your vision. Discouragers often multiply when a genuine vision is about to emerge. Yet, a wise person remains steadfast, standing firm in what God has revealed. Scripture gives us a powerful example in the life of Moses. Out of the twelve spies sent to survey the Promised Land, only two—Joshua and Caleb—believed God and encouraged the people to move forward (Numbers 13–14). Though they were a small minority, their faith and courage helped preserve the hope of an entire nation. The danger of discouragement is severe. Those ten spies who spread fear and doubt achieved ...

Who Are You to Be Afraid? Rediscovering Your Identity as a Son of God

Image
December 12,2025 “I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who will die…?” — Isaiah 51:12 (NKJV) Fear has become a daily battle for many, a silent disaster that seeks to weaken faith. It is one of the enemy’s most subtle weapons—designed to distract the believer from the presence, power, and promises of God. Yet the Lord asks us a piercing question: “Who are you to be afraid?” Imagine truly understanding that God Almighty is your Father. Not merely your Creator—your Father. Scripture reminds us of this identity: “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” — Romans 8:16 When you know you are a son or daughter of the Most High, fear loses its grip. The prodigal son realized this when he said, “How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare…” (Luke 15:17). Even the servants in the Father’s house have provision—how much more the sons! As a child of God: You lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10). ...

God Is Not Limited by Language

Image
December 7,2025 Scripture Foundations: Psalm 19:3–4; Acts 2:6–11; Genesis 11:1–9; 1 Corinthians 14:10 God Hears Beyond Human Languages The psalmist declares, “There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world” (Psalm 19:3–4). This truth reminds us that God is not bound by human languages. He does not hear us better in Hebrew, Arabic, English, or any other tongue. His ability to understand us does not depend on our linguistic skill. God’s communication surpasses every human system of speech. Many imagine that God prefers certain languages, but the Scriptures teach the opposite. The Lord who created the human voice is not limited by the language it speaks. Language is actually the least of the ways God chooses to communicate. The Pentecost Witness On the day of Pentecost, something remarkable happened: “Every man heard them speak in his own language the wonderful work...

Encouraged in the Lord: Rising Above Discouragement

Image
December 6,2025 Key Scriptures: 1 Samuel 30:6; Romans 12:21; Matthew 5:44–45; Joshua 1:9 One of the quiet struggles many believers face is trying their best to walk with God while receiving little or no encouragement from others. At times, it can even feel as though some individuals have positioned themselves as discouragers within the body of Christ—those who constantly criticize, wound, or speak negatively into the efforts of others. Yet, no matter how painful their actions may be, the believer who knows the truth must not repay evil with evil. Scripture instructs us clearly: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” — Romans 12:21 “…that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good.” — Matthew 5:45 To walk in the nature of our Father, we respond to hurt with grace, to negativity with love, and to hostility with goodness. David: A Model of Endurance and Encouragement in the Lord David’s life is a powerful...
