Mercy and Grace: The Foundation of Our Journey with God

Romans 9:16: "So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy."
- Hebrews 4:16: "Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
- Isaiah 40:31: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

It's not about our willpower or efforts, but about God's mercy that sets us on the right path. When we start our journey with God based on our own will, we risk failure. However, when God's mercy and grace intervene, we find the strength to run in His will.

God's Mercy in Action
The story of Noah is a powerful example of God's mercy and grace. In a corrupt generation, God chose Noah and enabled him to walk with Him. This demonstrates that mercy is an essential aspect of God's character, and it's through His throne of grace that we obtain mercy and find help in times of need.

Grace and Mercy Entwined
Grace encompasses mercy, and those who find grace before God are the ones who receive mercy. As the Bible says, "Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).

Waiting on the Lord
In a world that emphasizes self-sufficiency, we are reminded that "by strength shall no man prevail." Even the youth shall faint, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. Will you wait on the Lord and come to the throne of grace to find mercy?
