The Legacy Your Ladder

Image
May 31,2026 Do you know that your present stage in life is a height on the ladder that someone else is striving diligently to reach? While you may be looking upward, admiring those ahead of you and desiring the grace and accomplishments evident in their lives, remember that where you stand today is also a place of inspiration to others. This stage of your journey must be handled with wisdom, diligence, and godly character because there are people whose lives are being shaped by what they see in you. They are observing your decisions, your conduct, your discipline, your faith, and your response to life's challenges. In years gone by, men and women such as Katharine Kuhlman, Archbishop Benson Idahosa, Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, and Billy Graham occupied stages that inspired generations. Their messages, lifestyles, character, discipline, and public witness became reference points for many of the ministers and leaders we celebrate today. Long after their voices became silent, thei...

God’s Chosen Vessel May Not Be the Most Popular

Image
May 30,2026. Key Scriptures: Acts 9:10–17; 1 Corinthians 1:26–29; Zechariah 4:10 God’s Chosen Vessel May Not Be the Most Popular. The best of man is still man. Regardless of a person's achievements, influence, or reputation, human strength has its limitations. However, when the divine life of Christ takes possession of a person, he is no longer operating by his own ability; rather, the Lord works through him. This is why God sovereignly arranges encounters between hungry souls and His chosen servants. Many believers desire personal encounters with renowned men and women of God, yet such meetings may never happen because they are not part of God's divine agenda for their lives. God determines the time, place, and vessel through whom He chooses to minister to His people. A clear example is found in the conversion and commissioning of Saul, later known as Paul. The Lord appeared to a disciple named Ananias and instructed him: “Arise, and go into the street which...

The Righteousness That Comes By Faith Alone

Image
November 20,2025 (Philippians 3:3–10; Romans 3:20–22; Galatians 2:15–21) Paul, once a zealous Judaist committed to the traditions of the fathers, was a fierce persecutor of “the people of the Way” (Acts 9:1–2). He sought righteousness through strict adherence to the law, believing that human effort could secure acceptance before God. But after encountering the risen Christ, Paul came into a revolutionary understanding: righteousness is not a product of works, but a person — Jesus Christ. Reflecting on his former life, Paul declared: “Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee… concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.” (Philippians 3:5–6) He had climbed to the highest point of legalistic achievement. Yet, upon seeing Christ, Paul realized that everything he once treasured was empty compared to the true righteousness revealed through faith. Therefore he said: “But what t...

Vision Without Division

Image
May 29,2026 Vision is never meant to create division in the Body of Christ. True vision should expand our capacity, strengthen our faith, and advance the Kingdom of God. Every God-given vision carries a purpose, and when one vision is fulfilled, God can birth another assignment in the life of His servant. Sadly, we have seen situations where people allow envy, criticism, or misunderstanding to turn vision into division within the Church. The Bible says: “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” — Proverbs 29:18 As believers, we must learn not to judge another person’s vision or calling too quickly, because we were not there when God called them. If a vision aligns with the Word of God and glorifies Christ, our duty is to encourage, support, and pray for such a person rather than discourage them. The Apostle Paul wrote: “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” — Philippians 2:3 Many believers d...

The Voice of the Day and the Wisdom of the Night

Image
May 28,2026 “Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.” — Psalm 19:2 God created the day and the night with divine purpose. According to the Scriptures, both carry messages from the Lord to mankind. The Psalmist declares that “day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge” (Psalm 19:2). This means that every day and every night are designed by God to function according to His will and plan. The day speaks. The night reveals knowledge. These are not ordinary moments; they are ordained seasons through which God communicates His purpose to humanity. The Word of God also says: “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 This scripture reminds us that the Lord is the Maker of the day. Neither man nor the devil created it. God made the day for His children—for you and for me—that we may rejoice and walk in His blessings. Since God is the Author of the day, we must not surrender it...

The Supremacy of the Word of God

Image
May 19,2026 A careful study of Matthew 3:13–17 reveals how our Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled all righteousness through humility by submitting Himself to baptism by John. Though John initially resisted, Jesus insisted, showing us the importance of obedience to God’s divine order. As a result of that act of humility, the heavens opened, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him like a dove, and the voice of the Father declared His approval. Immediately after this glorious encounter, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. There, He fasted and prayed for forty days and forty nights. Yet, among all the spiritual experiences He may have encountered in that season, one thing stood out powerfully in His life and character — His unwavering dependence on the Word of God. When the devil came with temptations, Jesus did not rely on emotions, visions, or personal experiences. Instead, every response He gave was rooted in the Scriptures: “It is written.” Through this, Christ demonst...

Taking Up Serpents: Walking in the Authority of Christ

Image
May 14,2026 “And these signs shall follow them that believe… they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them…” — Mark 16:17–18 Christ is life, and every word that proceeds from Him carries life. To doubt the written words of Christ is to remain attached to the mentality of death. If we truly desire the life of God to be manifested in us, then we must trust completely in what Jesus has spoken and what He continues to reveal through the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would remind us of all things He had said: “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost… shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” — John 14:26 As believers, our minds and spirits must be aligned with the truth of Christ. Faith begins when we settle every argument against His Word and choose to believe Him absolutely. One of the most misunderstood statements of Jesus is found in Mark 16, where He said...

The Authority of the Scriptures

Image
May 13,2026 The book of Acts chapter 2 gives us one of the greatest examples of a Spirit-filled sermon. From verse 14 onward, Apostle Peter stood before the multitude and preached with boldness and clarity. What is striking is that his message was not built on personal experiences, dreams, or visions, but on the authority of the Scriptures. One would have expected Peter to speak about the extraordinary moments he had with Christ Jesus. He could have told the people about the day he walked on water, the experience on the Mount of Transfiguration, or how they found money in the mouth of a fish. He could even have spoken about the miraculous catch of fish when his nets almost broke. These experiences were powerful and undeniable. Yet, Peter chose a different foundation for his message. Filled with the Holy Spirit, he declared: “This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel…” — Acts 2:16 Peter anchored his sermon on what had already been written through the prophet Joel. He used the Sc...

Discernment in Temptation: Guarding Your Divine Assignment

Image
May 6,2026 Have you considered that Jesus was tempted in every way we are—both in the unseen realm and in visible, everyday life? Scripture affirms this truth: “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15). In Luke 4, we see Jesus confront and overcome three direct temptations from the devil. Yet the Bible says the devil “departed from Him until an opportune time” (Luke 4:13). This suggests that temptation did not end there—it reappeared in more subtle and unexpected ways. One such moment came through Peter. When Jesus began to speak of His suffering and death, Peter rebuked Him, saying it would never happen. But Jesus discerned the source behind those words and responded, “Get behind Me, Satan!” (Matthew 16:22–23). What seemed like concern from a close disciple was, in fact, a temptation to abandon His divine mission. Another instance occurred among the crowd. After...
