The Verdict against the Devil; Understanding God's Word

The Verdict Against the Devil: Understanding God's Word

April 24,2025

Genesis 3:15 - "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed."
- Acts 2:21 - "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
- Ephesians 5:11 - "Have nothing to do with the unfruitful works of darkness."

Enmity Between the Woman and the Serpent
In Genesis 3:15, God says, "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed." This verdict establishes a clear divide between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness.

Understanding God's Word
We often read the Bible without grasping its deeper meaning. God's words are not mere statements but declarations of intent. If He says He will put enmity, then it is so.

No Agreement with the Devil
Any form of friendship or agreement between the woman (and her seed) and the devil is an aberration. It is disobedience to have any relationship with the serpent or engage in activities like witchcraft, wizardry, or mediumship.

A Call to Separation
There is a wall of partition between everything of the woman and the serpent. We must awake from our slumber and separate ourselves from the unfruitful works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11). Call upon the name of the Lord and come out of darkness (Acts 2:21).
