The Legacy Your Ladder

May 31,2026

Do you know that your present stage in life is a height on the ladder that someone else is striving diligently to reach? While you may be looking upward, admiring those ahead of you and desiring the grace and accomplishments evident in their lives, remember that where you stand today is also a place of inspiration to others.

This stage of your journey must be handled with wisdom, diligence, and godly character because there are people whose lives are being shaped by what they see in you. They are observing your decisions, your conduct, your discipline, your faith, and your response to life's challenges.

In years gone by, men and women such as Katharine Kuhlman, Archbishop Benson Idahosa, Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, and Billy Graham occupied stages that inspired generations. Their messages, lifestyles, character, discipline, and public witness became reference points for many of the ministers and leaders we celebrate today. Long after their voices became silent, their influence continued to speak.

Today, you are living your own chapter of history. Whether you realize it or not, you are writing lessons into the lives of those coming behind you. The younger generation is learning from your example what it means to serve God, pursue purpose, handle success, endure trials, and remain faithful.

One day, every stage will be left behind. No platform, position, title, or season lasts forever. There comes a time when each person must quietly exit the stage and hand the baton to others. The question is: what will remain when you are gone? What values, convictions, and examples are you leaving behind for those who will follow?

Live intentionally. Build a legacy that points people to Christ. Let your life become a worthy pattern for others to follow. Remember, someone is watching, someone is learning, and someone is preparing for their turn on the ladder.

“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 11:1

“Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” — Hebrews 13:7

“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children.” — Proverbs 13:22

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.” — 1 Timothy 4:12

Think on these things. The legacy you build today may become the foundation upon which another generation stands tomorrow.
