The Gospel at Work Through Faith

Text: 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Romans 1:16; Mark 9:23

Today, I want to draw our hearts to a unique truth about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have learned that the Gospel does not come in mere words alone, but in power, in the Holy Spirit, and in full assurance (1 Thessalonians 1:5). The words we receive from the Lord are not the words of men; they are the words of the living God—Spirit-filled, life-giving, and power-packed to transform lives.

However, for the Word of God to produce its intended effect in our lives, it must be received with faith. The Apostle Paul wrote:

"For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe" (1 Thessalonians 2:13).

Notice that the Word works effectually in those who believe. Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus often asked people, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" (Matthew 9:28). On many occasions, He declared, "Your faith has made you whole" (Mark 5:34). Faith creates an avenue for heaven's power to operate in the affairs of men. It is the agreement of the heart with God's Word that gives the Word room to work effectively.
The question before us today is simple: Do you believe?

If you believe, then receive this declaration in faith:

I decree that every yoke of sickness be broken from your life right now in the name of Jesus Christ. Let every chain holding you captive be shattered—whether it is emotional bondage, painful memories, fear, disappointment, or limitations caused by past experiences. Be released into liberty, healing, restoration, and victory in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
