No Room for Crawling: The Three Dimensions of Divine Progress
November 2,2025
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
— Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
In the agenda of the Lord for His people, there is no room for crawling. Every believer is designed to be in motion — to advance, grow, and ascend in the divine order of grace. The least a believer can do is walk, for the life of the Spirit has no provision for stagnation.
Those who wait upon the Lord are not only renewed but are divinely empowered to operate in three progressive realms of movement — mounting up, running, and walking. Each dimension carries a distinct purpose yet leads to one destination: fruitful and victorious living in Christ.
1. Mounting Up with Wings as Eagles — The Realm of Dominion
Waiting on the Lord brings you to a realm of spiritual elevation. You rise above earthly limitations and ascend into your heavenly position in Christ Jesus, seated above principalities and powers.
“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” — Ephesians 2:6
In this state, you gain divine perspective, clarity, and strength. Like an eagle soaring above the storm, you live in the consciousness of your authority and dominion in Christ.
2. Running and Not Being Weary — The Realm of Divine Assignment
Running speaks of vision, purpose, and ministry. When your strength is renewed by waiting on God, you can run with His mandate without weariness.
“Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” — Habakkuk 2:2
Those who wait on God never burn out. They run by the strength of the Spirit, not by human effort. If weariness sets in, it is a sign that you must return to the place of waiting for renewed strength.
3. Walking and Not Fainting — The Realm of Spiritual Consistency
Walking symbolizes your daily life and fellowship with God. It is the quiet strength of those who walk in the Spirit and live in obedience.
“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” — Romans 8:1
When you wait on the Lord continually, fainting becomes impossible. His Spirit sustains you, and you keep walking in alignment with His will.
Conclusion:
Every waiting season brings a threefold blessing — you mount up, you run, and you walk. There is no stagnation in the Spirit. As you wait, you move upward, forward, and inward — higher in dominion, faster in purpose, and deeper in fellowship.
