The Anointing You Already Carry

June 6,2026

One of the greatest challenges among believers is not the absence of God's power, but the failure to recognize and utilize the power He has already entrusted to them. It is one thing to be anointed; it is another thing entirely to know that you are anointed and to walk confidently in that reality.

Many Christians continually pray for more power and a greater anointing, yet when the Lord graciously releases it, they fail to put it to work. Like an unused muscle, neglected spiritual grace eventually loses its effectiveness in their lives. Then they return, seeking what they have already received but never exercised.

The Lord does not anoint His people merely for personal satisfaction, prestige, or self-promotion. Sadly, many seek power without understanding its purpose. Some desire it to fulfill personal ambitions, while others long for recognition among men. However, the true purpose of spiritual power is to glorify Christ and advance His kingdom.

The operation of God's power is unique in every believer. Just as the eye, the hand, and the foot perform different functions in the body, so the Lord distributes His grace and assignments according to His divine wisdom. The measure of your effectiveness is not determined by comparison with others but by your obedience to God's specific calling upon your life.

The secret of genuine spiritual power is found in a growing relationship with the Lord. Power flows from intimacy. The more closely we walk with Him, the more clearly we understand His heart and purposes.

Imagine if those crying out for power in prayer mountains, church auditoriums, and prayer gatherings across the world would sincerely commit themselves to God's purposes. Imagine if they resolved that once empowered, they would go wherever He sends them, proclaim the Gospel where Christ has not been preached, and serve faithfully without seeking personal glory. The harvest fields of the world would be flooded with the light of the Gospel.

May we cease merely asking for power and begin stewarding the grace already entrusted to us. The world is waiting for believers who will arise and use what God has placed in their hands.

Prayer:

Father, open our eyes to recognize the grace, gifts, and anointing You have already deposited within us. Deliver us from seeking power for selfish reasons and align our hearts with Your purposes. Grant us the courage to go where You send us and the wisdom to faithfully steward every gift You have entrusted to us. May Your will be accomplished through our lives for the glory of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I pray that your eyes will be opened to discern the mind of God, to understand where He is working, and to become a willing instrument for the fulfillment of His will on the earth.
