Christ Enthroned and Ever Active
June 12,2026
Can you imagine this glorious reality: Jesus Christ has ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God. But what does this mean? Does it suggest that He is inactive or merely resting? Certainly not.
The Scriptures reveal that Christ's position at the right hand of God signifies His authority, honor, and completed victory over sin, death, and Satan. The accuser of the brethren has been defeated and dislodged from his place of accusation before God. He cannot stand against the glorified Christ who reigns in majesty and power.
Yet, Christ is not seated in inactivity. The right hand of God is the place of divine authority from which He actively governs and carries out His heavenly ministry. He continually intercedes for His people, serves as our Advocate before the Father, and rules over all things according to the will of God.
When we think about eternity, our minds often reach their limits. Human language struggles to describe the vastness and glory of eternal realities. The dimensions of God's eternal kingdom far exceed our finite understanding. Our world and our span of time are but a tiny moment compared to the endless ages of eternity.
Nevertheless, one truth remains certain: Jesus Christ is presently at work. He is building His Church, interceding for believers, sustaining all things by His power, and directing history toward the fulfillment of God's purposes. He will continue His heavenly ministry until the day He returns in glory.
Therefore, place your trust in Him. The One who died for you, rose again, ascended into heaven, and now reigns at the Father's right hand is actively working on behalf of His people. Your life is secure in His hands.
