The Manifold Wisdom of God: Our Present Reality in Christ

January 4,2025

Key Scriptures: Ephesians 3:3–11; Ephesians 1:9–10; 1 Corinthians 2:6–10; James 1:5; Colossians 2:2–3

The Word of God is inexhaustible; it is ever fresh and new. Each day unveils deeper dimensions of God’s eternal counsel. It is a privilege and a grace to continually explore this newness. I strongly sense that the Lord is leading us into a series of teachings from Ephesians chapter 3, a chapter rich with revelation concerning our identity and calling in Christ.

Yesterday, we established that the truths revealed in this chapter are our present reality, not a distant promise. Today, we look more closely at one profound expression used by the Holy Spirit—the manifold wisdom of God—and why it defines who we are now as believers.

The apostle Paul declares in Ephesians 3:10, “To the intent that now…” This phrase is crucial. It emphasizes now, not tomorrow, not in the future. Now, through the Church, the manifold wisdom of God is to be made known to principalities and powers in the heavenly places. This wisdom is something these spiritual beings long to behold.

Yet we must ask ourselves an honest question: What is the Church currently displaying? Too often, instead of revealing God’s wisdom, the Church mirrors the world—envy, hatred, greed, immorality, and division. How different it would be if we truly understood our calling and began to manifest the manifold wisdom of God!

When this wisdom is displayed:

The principalities and powers aligned with God rejoice.

The forces of darkness are subdued and compelled to bow.

This is because wisdom is not merely something God possesses—God Himself is wisdom (see Colossians 2:2–3). The manifold wisdom of God is the full expression of His nature through His people. It is God’s divine solution to challenges that neither earthly systems nor spiritual beings can resolve on their own.

The word manifold means many-sided, multi-dimensional, richly varied. This wisdom cannot be exhausted. Day by day, through the Church, God reveals solutions that transcend the earth—answers that reach into heavenly realms. This is a glorious reality of who we are in Christ and the responsibility entrusted to us.

As we walk in this understanding, we become living demonstrations of God’s eternal purpose, showing forth His wisdom to realms seen and unseen.
I pray that you will come into this reality, walk in it boldly, and manifest it daily, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We would love to hear from you.
