From the Center to the Nations: God’s Heart for Cross-Cultural Missions

January 29,2026

Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; John 4:21–24; Romans 10:13–15; Revelation 7:9

Cross-cultural missions lie at the very heart of God’s redemptive plan for humanity. Our Lord Jesus Christ clearly established this mandate when He declared, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). This command was not selective, regional, or cultural—it was global.

In Acts 1:8, Jesus further revealed the divine pattern and progression of missions: “You shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.” This pattern shows that the work of Christ is not centripetal—drawing people continually to one center—but centrifugal, moving outward with purpose, power, and passion to the nations. The gospel is meant to advance, crossing boundaries of culture, language, and geography.

Under Judaism, worship was centralized. Every Jew was required to journey to Jerusalem for worship, and even proselytes were expected to come to the center. However, Jesus ushered in a new order. In John 4:21–24, He declared that the hour had come when true worship would no longer be confined to a physical location, but worshipers everywhere would worship the Father “in spirit and in truth.” With this declaration, Christ shifted the focus from a place to a people, from a center to the nations.

Sadly, much of the modern church has drifted back toward a centralized model—building cathedrals and expecting the world to come in—rather than embracing Christ’s outward-moving mandate. While gathering is important, it must never replace going. Jesus did not call the Church to be merely a hosting Church, but a sending Church.

Therefore, there is an urgent need for men and women to arise and re-examine the Scriptures afresh. The Church must be discipled to disciple nations, trained to be sent, and empowered to cross cultures with the message of Christ. When we fail to go beyond our comfort zones and cultural boundaries, we fall short of fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20).

In light of this sacred calling, we humbly invite you to partner with us in advancing cross-cultural missions—through earnest prayers, faithful financial support, and committed manpower. Together, we can take the gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth, until every tribe, tongue, and nation hears and worships the Lamb (Revelation 7:9).

May the Lord stir our hearts, strengthen our hands, and help us to obey His call, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
