Unshakable Love: Nothing Can Separate Us from Christ

“For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come… shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:38–39 (KJV)

There is a deep persuasion that comes only by revelation — the unshakable assurance that nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Apostle Paul listed every conceivable force — death, life, angels, principalities, powers, and even the unknown things to come — yet concluded that none of these can outweigh or outmatch the love revealed in Christ Jesus.

Think about it: angels, though mighty in strength, cannot compare to the weight of love that flows from the heart of Christ. Principalities and powers, no matter how fearsome they appear, cannot stand against the overwhelming, redeeming power of that love. Everything that once inspired fear in you becomes powerless when measured against the love of God in Christ. What a glorious truth!

Earlier in the same chapter, Paul declared, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). He mentioned famine, persecution, peril, and even the sword — yet none of these can undo the covenant of love we have in Christ.
So whatever challenge or hardship you may be facing right now, be reminded: the love of Christ is still at work, still powerful, still unbroken. His love heals, preserves, sustains, and triumphs over all.

Even if an angel or minister were to corrupt their ways, the Apostle warned, “If we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel… let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8). This shows that the love in Christ is not a vague emotion, but a holy and incorruptible reality anchored in the truth of the gospel.
To abide in that love, we must remain in Him, holding fast to the true message of grace that was once delivered to the saints.

Stay in His love. Dwell in His truth. Nothing can separate you from the love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
