The Revelation of the Apostle Paul

Apostle Paul, while sharing his divine encounter, wrote about a visitation to paradise. In 2 Corinthians 12:2–4, he said,

“I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such a one caught up to the third heaven.”

Paul’s words—“whether in the body or out of the body”—paint a mysterious picture of an experience that blurred the line between the spiritual and the physical. Through this encounter, he revealed to us the structure of the heavens:

The First Heaven – the visible sky above us, covered by the clouds (Genesis 1:8).

The Second Heaven – the realm of the sun, moon, and stars, the celestial space (Psalm 19:1).

The Third Heaven – the paradise of God, the dwelling place of His glory (Luke 23:43; Revelation 2:7).

Paul’s revelation unveils a profound spiritual truth: there are realms beyond the natural eye, and God grants access to them by grace and revelation.

The Mystery of Transformation

In 1 Corinthians 15:51–54, Paul further wrote:

“We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye… for this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”

These words suggest that his experience of paradise gave him insight into the mysteries of resurrection and transformation. The unspeakable words he heard were likely revelations of the eternal life prepared for those who belong to Christ.

Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, heaven was opened to man once again. The veil was torn, granting us access to divine fellowship and heavenly realities (Matthew 27:51; Hebrews 10:19–22).

Living with Heavenly Awareness

Beloved, you are not meant to live struggling or disconnected from divine purpose. God desires that you walk daily with heaven’s consciousness, drawing grace to handle the important matters of life with spiritual insight.

May you receive grace for divine visitation and strength to fulfill your heavenly calling in Jesus’ name. Amen.
