The Timeless Resurrected Life
July 29,2025
"And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light." - Genesis 1:3
Genesis 1:3 - "And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light."
- Ephesians 2:6 - "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus."
- Hebrews 9:12, 24-26 - "He entered the Most Holy Place once for all... Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many."
- Hebrews 13:8 - "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."
The resurrected life is a constant,
unchanging reality. When we think of heaven, do we imagine it operating on a timeline like earth? The truth is, heaven doesn't know yesterday, today, or tomorrow - it's all "today" (Hebrews 13:8). Human reasoning can't fully grasp this concept.
-A Different Dimension-
On earth, our lives unfold in chapters, but in heaven, everything is spread out before us like a vast, unending canvas. In the spiritual realm, time loses its linear quality. What you thought, did, or experienced 50 years ago is as current as today.
Seated with Christ
When we talk about the resurrected life and being seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above principalities and powers (Ephesians 2:6), we are saying that we're constantly positioned above them. It's not about our physical circumstances or personal spiritual exercises; it's about the blood of Jesus, which put God at the side of man (Hebrews 9:12).
The Enduring Power of the Blood
Some might say the blood of Jesus has lost its potency, but the truth is, He entered the holy of holies once and for all, and His blood is constantly visible before God (Hebrews 9:24-26). Through His blood, we're drawn near to God, and our past sins are forgiven.
Eternal and Unchanging
The resurrected life is not bound by time or circumstances. It's a life that's "same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8). May the Lord open our eyes to this reality.
