Speaking from the Heart of God: The Power of Our Words

"Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name."(Genesis 2:19)

When God created Adam, He formed him in His own image and likeness. As a test of Adam's likeness to Him, God brought the animals to Adam to see what he would name them.

In essence, God was evaluating Adam's ability to speak from His heart and reflect His nature. Adam's words carried authority, and whatever he named the creatures, God stamped as correct.

However, the problem with humanity today is that we often speak from the wrong source. Instead of speaking from the heart of God, we speak from the devil's influence, and our words bring forth negative consequences.

We see this in the world's attempts to redefine God's original design, such as distorting the creation order and promoting confusion about gender.

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."(Genesis 1:27)

Let us return to speaking from the heart of God, blessing ourselves and others with life-giving words.

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits." (Proverbs 18:21)

From now on, begin to bless and speak good things concerning yourself, in Jesus' name.
