Kingdom of God; Beyond Human Reasoning
The Kingdom of God: Beyond Human Reasoning
April 27,2025
Romans 14:17 - "For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."
- 1 Corinthians 1:20 - "Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?"
- 2 Corinthians 4:4 - "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ."
- Ecclesiastes 3:11 - "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."
A Spiritual Reality
The Kingdom of God is not about external things like food and drink, but about spiritual experiences like power, love, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). It's a reality that transcends human understanding.
Limitations of Human Logic
Philosophy, psychology, sociology, and other human disciplines can't fully comprehend the Kingdom of God. Our reasoning is affected by the fall, and our judgments are often lopsided (1 Corinthians 1:20).
The Fallen Perspective
Human reasoning is influenced by the fall, which led to a distorted view of God and the world. We can't reason from God's perspective without spiritual transformation (2 Corinthians 4:4).
The Search for Satisfaction
Many people search for satisfaction in material things, but nothing can fill the vacuum created by the fall except a relationship with God (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
Our God is Real!
