From Dust to Glory: Our Eternal Transformation
April 2,2025
"Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it." (Ecclesiastes 12:7)
*"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."* (Genesis 2:7)
As humans, we originated from the dust of the earth, and our physical bodies are sustained by the food we eat, which also comes from the earth. However, our earthly bodies are temporary and will eventually return to the earth.
But what about our spirits? Where do they come from, and where will they go?
*"The spirit returns to God who gave it." (Ecclesiastes 12:7)
Our spirits are eternal and will return to God, but what will we be like when we see Him?
*"Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is." (1 John 3:2)
Apostle Paul wrote:
"There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another." (1 Corinthians 15:40)
He also said that we will be changed, transformed into our eternal, celestial bodies.
"We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye..." (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)
When Jesus returns, we will be raptured, transformed, and taken to our eternal home, a new heaven and a new earth.
"Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."(Revelation 21:1)
Are you preparing for this eternal transformation?
Let us pray that we shall be rapturable in Jesus' name.
