Divine Paradox; The Foolishness of God

April 18,2025

The pursuit of wisdom has captivated human minds for centuries. Philosophers like Socrates and Plato have pondered the mysteries of life, but their findings often fall short. The Bible reminds us that 1 Corinthians 1:19,  For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

The Redemption Conundrum
The concept of redemption through crucifixion may seem absurd to the world, but it's a fundamental aspect of Christianity. God used the "foolish things of this world to confound the wise" (1 Corinthians 1:27). The sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God's Son, replaced the need for any form of  sacrifice.

The Unfolding of God's Plan
Jesus' death was not a suicide, but an execution carried out by the Roman authorities under Pontius Pilate's verdict. The Jewish leaders delivered Him to death, but God raised Him back to life. As Peter said, "The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead" (Acts 3:13-15).

The Triumphant Christ
Jesus Christ is alive, and His power sustains all things (Hebrews 1:3). Let's celebrate the redemption He brought to humanity.
